Guidance

Ms. Blevins is dedicated to helping DNES students achieve personal goals and develop social skills as they progress through school.

She provides referral assistance, crisis intervention and peer mediation.  She instructs whole class counseling classes and individual or small group counseling to address such topics as:

• Understanding yourself as an individual 
• Respecting the rights of others
• Resolving differences and conflicts
• Character development
• Communicating effectively
• Discovering interests, talents, and abilities and demonstrating these qualities in a positive manner
• Making healthy and safe decisions
• Stress and anger management
• Grief and loss
• Traumatic events
• Sadness and anxiety
• Divorce and blended families
